Nora Wireless: Using open standards for community networking

This will be divided into two parts and will take place during two conference workshop sessions:

1. Social and community aspects of wireless networking

This section will include background information about the technology, wireless communities around the world, implications for telecom operators. The first section of the workshop can also be understood by people with no special technical background.

2. Technical solutions

The second part of the workshop will ilustrate some of our technical solutions, including access servers, dedicated radio links, radio planning, security and network management, etc. A background in computer science or engineering is recommended.
