Tentative -- The three of us are currently undertaking a formal evaluation of the Indigenous Open Learning Project and will be finished this work in the first quarter 2002. The project developed 31 undergraduate online units specifically targeting Indigenous students, as well as a comprehensive online resource site for Indigenous academics/researchers. See http://www.ola.edu.au/warritngulu/ for more information.
Our paper would centre around this research with a focus on the community side of it. What was the ideology/philosophy behind the project? Did community want/need it in the first place? Were they consulted? Are they using it? Will it meet community needs? What are the access/equity implications? Where to now?
